A sensing tapestry that changes it's pattern and mimics the movements before it. Made as part of my master's thesis at the IT University of Copenhagen.
The tapestry is an investigation into how thermochromic textiles (textile materials with color-changing properties) can be used in an interactive design, in order to explore the material composition between computer and textile. The tapestry is embedded with heat conducting wires, which are controlled by a microcontroller, which senses the movements of people passing by. It then conducts heat through the wires in order to change the tapestry's pattern and create an animation which follows the spectators.
